SESSION
INFORMATION

Click on each date to see available sessions that day.

Session Descriptions:

Open Play - The sessions marked "Open" will be open to all members of the club as well as visitors (visitor fees will apply). These sessions are for all abilities with a focus on social and fun games. There may be mixing of abilities at these sessions and the expectation is that you play to match your competition i.e. no slamming on far weaker players.

Open Play + Dedicated Advanced Court(s) - On days when 8 courts are available, the Global Pickleball Network (GPN)** will be used, for advanced players only, to gauge interest and ensure there would be sufficient players attending to justify allocating courts for advanced players only.

Based on registered interest, up to two courts will be dedicated to advanced players attending on the day, with their own rotation system.

The remaining courts will be for open play.

Advanced-level visitors may be invited to join the dedicated advanced courts, depending on the number of players present and available space.

If you are an advanced-level visitor and want to play on the advanced courts, please contact the club in advance with the dates you want to join.

Email: queenstownpickleballclub@gmail.com

For the purpose of these sessions, an advanced player is considered to be a player with a DUPR rating of 3.3 or higher and a green liability status.

We will do our best to accommodate your request depending on court availability.

** The Global Pickleball Network (GPN) is a website that is used by Queenstown Pickleball Club (QPC) for pre-registration of players for courts or sessions where numbers need to be controlled or known in advance.

League Play - The sessions marked league play are open only to those registered for the Queenstown Pickleball Club League. To register you will need to apply through the QPC page on Global Pickleball Network. Any new members looking to apply, please get in touch with a committee member.

Sign-In Procedure:

  • For Monday-Friday sessions: Sign-in is from 9:30 AM to 9:55 AM.
  • All names must be on the white board by 9:55 AM for court allocation.
  • Players arriving at 10:00 AM or later may have to wait for an extended period before being accommodated.
    • To ensure smooth participation, all players should arrive by 9:55 AM at the latest.

Overflow Management:

  • If player turnout exceeds available court space, players will be asked to volunteer to sit out after each play period to allow others to rotate in.

OUTSIDE COURTS - There are outdoor courts available for public hire at the Events Centre.

Alternative Venue Play (Fully paid Queenstown Pickleball Club members only):
